The ez hiker is a environmentally friendly vehicle allowing individuals with physical disabilities and age related difficulties the ability to hike with their family and companions.
The chair requires two people as "Mushers". The ez hiker design does not require heavy lifting due to the unique balance point and engineering. Collapsibility and adaptability for multiple terrains, are all factors that make this chair easy to use, convenient for hikers and versatile.
Weighing about 43 pounds, is made of lightweight, chrome-mold steel tubing. Tom Ruedy has worked with Bill Stites design since 2007 to develop the final design of the hiking chair, now in fleet production.
- Unique design rides smooth

Easy to Use, Collapsable and Lightweight
With this equipment, uneven trails are easily negotiated. Ordinary terrain with roots, rocks, and ruts pose no obstacle for the ez hiker chair. A shock attached from the back of the frame to the wheel provides for a spongy ride. "At least I don't have to worry about tripping or stumbling" says Ruedy.
For the adventure seeker of any age or mobility, everywhere is now accessible. With ez hiker and a couple of willing "mushers," the severely disabled hiker can negotiate formidable barriers to remote destinations.
