John A. White, Program Director and Assoc. Professor at Pacific University School of Occupational Therapy (OT)

 

John has been an occupational therapist since 1978, with his clinical work primarily focused in rehabilitation.  He earned his Masters and Ph.D. from the University of Southern California and has been teaching OT for the past 15 years at Pacific University, Located in Forest Grove, Oregon.  His research has primarily focused on disability rights and advocacy, particularly the Americans with Disabilities Act and how it is affecting the lives of people who use it to fight employment discrimination.  John loves to share outdoor activities, such as backpacking, skiing, paddling, and cycling with his wife and two children. He has had experience with outdoor recreation programs for people with disabilities. He is excited to see what new opportunities for outdoor recreation the ez hiker chair and foundation will open up for people with disabilities. This allows him to utilize his interest and credentials to support this project from its inception.

 

Herb Weisser, Family Law Attorney in Oregon & Washington

 

Herb hs a B.A. from University of Southern California (1981) and his law degree from J.D. Willamette College of Law (1985) and currently practices Family Law in Oregon and Washington. He serves as a Board Member of the Collaborative Professionals of Oregon and Southwest Washington and is a published author of The Divorce Guide for Oregon. As an avid mountain climber and snow/cross country skier, Herb has an interest in the outdoors and in particular the ez hikers’ ability to fulfill a need to allow the disabled to also experience the great outdoors.

 

Joan Pasco Director East County one stop

 

AS director of Portland East County one stop, MS. Pasco has helped many non-profit organizations become successful.

 

Mindy Landing Mortgage Broker

 

 Born in Portland, Oregon, she was raised in Milwaukie and resides there with her family.  She has worked in the financial industry for over 25 years and in mortgage lending for the past 12 years.  Quality housing  is not accessable to to people with disabilities and seniors who have limited income. It is very important to her that there is good quality, affordable housing available for those with limited income.
